News from Nigeria: Listening to Young Entrepreneurs

Electricity has been unreliable, but I have a window to write now, so I’ll take it. Today we spent several hours hearing about a pastor named Kingsley Bangwell, a young and energetic man who has organized about 30 young Christian adults for entrepreneurial ventures.

The young people are inspiring:  one is setting up a repair shop for Peugeot automobiles; one is creating a sports "bar" for watching soccer games; and another has started a graphic design business.

The pastor sponsors monthly meetings where they can share progress with each other and brainstorm solutions to their current business challenges.  Kingsley helps them understand how Biblical principles and a Christian world view can inspire them to "make a difference as well as a dollar".

We are planning to support Kingsley and his protégés as advisors from a distance, and perhaps as funders in some cases.  (Attached is a photo of Kingsley, and also his group of spiritual entrepreneurs.)
